  • University of Michigan School of Public Health (UM-SPH): Future Public Health Leaders Program (FPHLP). The FPHLP is a 10-week residential summer program that encourages underrepresented college students to consider careers in public health. Deadline is January 31, 2014. Learn more

  • Hispanic Serving Health Professions Schools (HSHPS): Graduate Fellowship Training Program - Spring 2015. Provides paid and unpaid training for graduate and doctoral students interested in working on Hispanic health research. Deadline is December 1, 2014. Learn more
  • Massachusetts General Hospital/Disparities Solutions Center (DSC): Request for applications for the 2015-2016 Disparities Leadership Program. Deadline for letter of intent is December 12, 2014. Learn more
  • American Heart Association/Go Red for Women and Macy’s: Go Red Multicultural Scholarship Fund. This program provides funds to minority women pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in healthcare fields. Deadline is December 31, 2014. Learn more.
  • National Research Center on Hispanic Children & Families: Summer Research Fellowship 2015. The goal of this program is to attract, develop, and expand the pool of emerging scholars focused on studying issues of relevance to low-income and vulnerable Hispanic children and families.   • Mount Sinai/Icahn School of Medicine: International Exchange Program for Minority Students. Undergraduate, master or doctoral degree students will work on research projects under the guidance of prominent international scientists in one of six countries in Latin America, Europe or Africa. Affordable Care Act (ACA)

  • November 15 kicked off the start of a new open enrollment period for the Health Insurance Marketplace, where millions of Americans can go to compare and buy health insurance plans for 2015 through HealthCare.gov, the call center or in-person assistance. Consumers purchasing or renewing plans on the Marketplace will find an increase in their options for affordable, quality coverage this year. In fact, 60 percent of people who enrolled in plans during the last open enrollment period were able to find coverage for less than $100 a month!

Join the 10.3 million Americans who have gained health coverage since the Marketplace began.

December 15 is the last day to renew or sign up to get coverage beginning on January 1. The open enrollment period ends February 15. Enroll today!
