Clinical Trials

  • HHS/NIH, NHLBI: Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy in Patients with Asthma (Study 99-H-0076). In this study, NIH researchers plan to perform fiberoptic bronchoscopy tests on patients with asthma and normal volunteers. This research may help to improve the understanding of the processes involved in airway inflammation and asthma. Trial will be conducted at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD. Learn more

Cultural Competence and CLAS

  • Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH)/Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities: New toolkits. Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards Training. Each toolkit contains a facilitation guide and the supporting resources needed to implement the CLAS standards in organizations, to teach others about CLAS implementation and to advocate for CLAS implementation in Maryland's health and health care settings.   • The rates of children with severe obesity are rapidly increasing, with highest rates reported among lower socioeconomic status and ethnic/racial minority groups. With the start of a new school year, the Knowledge Center recommends Advancing the Care of Children and Adolescents with Severe Obesity.
