HE-TAP: Higher Education Technical Assistance Project
  • Meet federal grantmakers, learn strategies to make your research proposals more competitive and find opportunities to partner and work to reduce health disparities. The Higher Education Technical Assistance Project (HE-TAP) training series kicks off this summer, targeting institutions of higher education, including minority serving institutions. Regional trainings will take place in Washington, DC and San Francisco, CA.

  • HHS/NIH Clinical Center: Outpatient research study. Effect of Exercise Training on Physical, Cognitive, and Behavioral Function in People with TBI (Study 15-CC-0164). NIH researchers are testing whether two different types of exercise programs have an effect on mental and physical function in people who have TBI. Trial will be conducted at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD.   • HHS/NIH, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK): Metabolic Effects of Non-Nutritive Sweeteners (Study 10-DK-0163). NIH researchers are conducting a clinical study of the effects of artificial sweeteners on hormone levels, blood sugar, and appetite among those who have had Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery. Trial will be conducted at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD.
