Why do I need to get a flu shot?

Getting a flu shot is the best way to protect yourself from the flu. And here are 3 more reasons to get a flu shot every year:

The flu spreads easily from person to person. When you get the flu shot, you don’t just protect yourself — you also protect everyone around you.

The flu shot doesn’t give you the flu. Most people don’t have any side effects after getting the flu shot.

The seasonal flu vaccine is covered under health care reform. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be able to get the flu shot at no cost to you.
