Public comment will allow you to:

  • Comment on proposed new objectives to be added to the following topic areas:
    • Arthritis, Osteoporosis, and Chronic Back Conditions
    • Early and Middle Childhood
    • Heart Disease and Stroke
    • Maternal, Infant, and Child Health
    • Tobacco Use
  • Propose new objectives to be included in one of the 42 existing Healthy People 2020 topic areas

To participate in the public comment period, visit HealthyPeople.gov beginning today. Comments will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. ET on November 7, 2014.

Public comments are a cornerstone of Healthy People 2020. We’ll be asking for your input periodically throughout the decade to ensure that Healthy People 2020 reflects current public health priorities. We look forward to hearing from you!

Healthy People 2020 is thrilled to announce that we will be teaching a Learning Institute course as part of the 142nd Annual Meeting of the American Public Health Association (APHA) on Sunday, November 16 from 2:30pm to 6:00pm Eastern Time in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Titled How to use Healthy People 2020 to achieve your goals: New online implementation tools, this half-day course will demonstrate how HealthyPeople.gov interactive tools can strengthen your own disease prevention and health promotion efforts.
