When you go to the beach or pool this summer, keep the focus on fun and safety. Drowning is the leading cause of death from injuries for kids ages 1 to 4. The good news is you can take steps to keep your loved ones safe. |

|
Sign the kids up for swimming lessons. |

|
If you don’t know how to swim, sign yourself up for lessons, too! |
|||||||
|
Watch all children in the water, even if they know how to swim. |
|||||||
|
Don’t use floating toys like water wings and noodles in place of life jackets. |
|||||||
|
If you have a pool, make sure it’s completely fenced off from the yard. |
