MEP Cybersecurity Activities

NIST MEP is collaborating with several federal agencies, led by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy,  to develop Cyber 101 for training small U.S. businesses.

Using information from the Federal Trade Commission’s Start with Security guide and NIST’s Cybersecurity Framework, this “train the trainer” webinar will lay out key steps to effective data security for small businesses. The training is aimed at federal employees and partners working with small businesses around the country. Topics discussed include: access controls, password policies, network segmentation, monitoring service providers, and mobile devices.

We have scheduled four webinars "Cybersecurity Best Practices for Small Businesses- Federal Staff and partners" all at 2:00 PM EST on the following days:

This webinar is the first part of a White House cybersecurity series. It is designed  to cybersecurity. Future webinars will focus specifically on cybersecurity tips for the manufacturing sector. Please note these training's are intended for MEP Center staff and partners and are not intended to be forwarded to external organizations. For questions contact Samm Bowman at samm@nist.gov.
