The Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Mental Health, Office of Science Policy, Planning, and Communications is seeking an experienced leader in science communications to serve as the NIMH Science Communications Director and Chief of the Science Writing, Press, and Dissemination Branch. As the leader of a nationally visible communications program, you will critically evaluate and communicate scientific and mental health-related findings to broad audiences, manage media outreach programs to publicize scientific programs or policies, lead a diverse team of professional science writers and media specialists, and use social and new media tools to promote understanding of complex scientific findings and mental health-related content.
