Use NDEP Resources to Plan Ahead and Stay Healthy During Summer Travel
Whether you have diabetes or are taking steps to stay healthy to lower your chances for getting type 2 diabetes, it’s important to plan ahead when you are taking a trip. NDEP has tips and resources to help you plan ahead and stay on track for a healthy travel season.

June 9-15 is National Men’s Health Week
National Men’s Health Week (June 9-15) is celebrated each year the week leading up to and including Father’s Day (June 15). CDC’s NDEP Website Has Been Expanded—Featuring New & Improved Resources 
Visit the redesigned and expanded CDC NDEP website to find NDEP toolkits and other resources to help you address diabetes in communities and include podiatrists, pharmacists, optometrists, and dentists in team care. The website features the newly expanded PPOD Toolkit and revised New Beginnings Guide along with Road to Health, Tasty Recipes, Resources for Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders, and the Living a Balanced Life with Diabetes Toolkit resources. Explore Diabetes HealthSense
NDEP’s Diabetes HealthSense online resource can help you find resources to support people in their efforts to make and sustain healthy lifestyle changes – whether they have diabetes or not. One such resource included in Diabetes HealthSense is the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases’ booklet, What I Need to Know about Physical Activity and Diabetes which helps people with diabetes choose and begin a physical activity program and safely lead an active, healthy lifestyle.
