Dr. Thomas E. Starzl Wins 2012 Lasker Award
Dr. Thomas E. Starzl received the 2012 Lasker-DeBakey Clinical Medical Research Award on September 21, 2012, for his work in developing liver transplantation.
2012 Nobel Prize in Chemistry Awarded to Two NIH Grantees
The 2012 Nobel Prize in chemistry was awarded jointly to National Institutes of Health (NIH) grantees Robert J. Lefkowitz, M.D., and Brian K. Kobilka, M.D., for groundbreaking discoveries on G-protein-coupled receptors.
