As parents, we often experience those moments where our children do things that make us so proud of their achievements. In the South, one of the most commonly used expressions to signify one of those moments is, “That’s My Baby!” For instance, have you ever attended a spelling bee, or high school graduation, or even a church Easter program, and someone in the audience yelled out, “That’s my baby?” Well, let me tell you story about my most memorable “That’s My Baby” moment.

Unit Bids Farewell with Arms

When a military unit moves or deploys, it takes an enormous amount of planning and organization to pull off. Often in the fast pace of preparations, unit blood drives are cancelled, at the very time their purpose is most evident — uniting service-minded individuals with the shared goal of protecting and preserving life. One of Fort Gordon’s longtime units, Company C, 63rd Expeditionary Signal Battalion, recently made that goal a priority in the midst of their battalion’s move to another installation.
