Federal video collaboration strives to reduce military tobacco use

In a unique, first-time collaboration the Defense Health Agency (DHA), through its “Operation Live Well” initiative, is teaming with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products to promote “The Real Cost” — a public education campaign highlighting the true cost of tobacco use.

Monday Motivational Message: “Strength through the struggle”

Today I was in need of a little self-motivation and remembered a lesson my great-grandfather taught me about going through tough times. I remember the two of us sitting under the big oak tree behind his barn when he told me to look at a cocoon hanging from the tree. I could see there was a butterfly halfway out. We watched it struggle and fight to get through the hole and it appeared to me that it was stuck.
