Cycling Replaces Running for Fitness Enthusiast with Knee Replacement

When knee replacement surgery made running impossible, Jerry Vignon was sure he wouldn’t find an exercise he enjoyed as much. Then cycling proved him wrong.

“To be an avid runner for so many years, I just never thought I could enjoy doing something else that would give me as much satisfaction as running. But now, I really do like biking,” said Vignon, a civilian health employee with the Defense Health Agency (DHA).

Motivational Monday Message: “It’s All in the Mix”

st week I told you about my grandmother’s amazing baking skills; she never even needed a reason or an occasion to bake a cake. If there was dinner on the table, then there was also a cake on the table. She was most famous for her buttermilk pound cake. Oh my goodness!!!! Forget the term “comfort food!” This cake should have been called “happy food!”
