COPYRIGHT ROYALTY JUDGES RELEASE PUBLIC VERSION OF WEB IV DETERMINATION, GRANT MOTION FOR REHEARING

The Copyright Royalty Judges have posted on the Copyright Royalty Board website the public version of their determination in the Web IV proceeding, which sets royalty rates and terms for webcasters streaming sound recordings from 2016 through 2020. The public version is redacted to remove confidential information. In addition, the judges are announcing that they have granted, in part, a motion from SoundExchange requesting a rehearing. SoundExchange submitted the motion following delivery on December 16, 2015, of the Web IV determination to parties in the proceeding and to the Register of Copyrights. The judges will issue a post-hearing determination in the near future. To read the public version of the determination, click here.
