Automated Export System Seminar and Workshop (English and Spanish)

 The U.S. Commercial Service and the Census Bureau  are partnering to offer an engaging day of learning. As of April 5, 2014, new export requirements were implemented that amended the regulations published in 2008. Census Bureau officers will cover these regulations, filing requirements of the FTR, as well as how to classify your commodities using the Schedule B classification requirements, and provide a thorough overview of the AES. All those involved in the export process should be aware of these regulations.

Egypt, Jordan, Israel Mission

The USDOC is organizing a business development mission to Egypt, Jordan and Israel, with an optional stop in the West Bank with the purpose of introducing representatives from U.S. firms and related trade associations to the region and to promote exports of U.S. healthcare products and services.

  • When: May 16–21, 2015
  • Where: Egypt, Jordan and Israel, with an optional stop in the West Bank
  • Application Deadline:  March 13, 2015
  • Cost: $3,325 for small or medium-sized enterprise or trade association/organization with fewer than 500 employees, $4,625 for large firms, $1,000 for each additional firm representative
  • West Bank optional meetings is in addition to the mission participation fee above, at $750 per SME and $2,300 per large firm

Trade Winds-Africa Trade Mission

The 2015 Trade Winds program includes an Africa focused business forum, in South Africa, consisting of regional and industry specific conference sessions as well as pre-arranged consultations with U.S. Foreign Commercial Service Officers representing commercial markets from 19 different countries throughout the region. There will also be multiple trade mission stops that will give participants the opportunity to conduct business-to-business meetings with firms in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Mozambique, Angola, Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya.

  • When: September 14-21, 2015 - Dates will vary based on selected mission stops.
