Healthcare Trade Mission to Philippines & Indonesia

With more than $37 Billion USD spent on Healthcare in 2012 and expected annual increases of more than 10% each year since, both the Filipino and Indonesian Governments have identified Healthcare as a top national priority. In 2014, Indonesia began implementing its National Health Insurance Plan, with the goal of universal coverage of the country’s population of more than 254 million by 2019.

WEBINAR on Healthcare Opportunities in Egypt, Jordan, Israel & West Bank

Sao Paulo International Dental Show

The Sao Paulo International Dental Show is the largest dental event in Latin America. The event is part of the Certified Trade Program and is one of the best opportunities for U.S. companies to meet with potential business partner in the market with the highest number of dentists in the world! The USCS Sao Paulo will have a booth at the show to provide support to the U.S. exhibitors and visitors.

Kenya, South Africa and Mozambique

The Department of Commerce is organizing a trade mission to Kenya, South Africa and Mozambique February 23 – 27, 2015.  This mission will promote U.S. exports by helping U.S. companies launch or increase their business in medical technologies; energy equipment and services; transportation infrastructure and equipment; and agriculture equipment.  Kenya, South Africa and Mozambique are investing in these key sectors to boost their economies.

  • When: February 23 – 27, 2015
  • Where: Nairobi, Kenya; Johannesburg, South Africa; and Maputo, Mozambique
  • Application deadline: Wednesday, December 31, 2014.
  • Cost: $6800 for large firms, $5400 for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), $750 for each additional firm representative (large firm or SME).

Egypt, Jordan, & Israel

The USDOC is organizing a business development mission to Egypt, Jordan and Israel, with an optional stop in the West Bank with the purpose of introducing representatives from U.S. firms and related trade associations to the region and to promote exports of U.S. healthcare products and services.

  • When: May 16–21, 2015
  • Where: Egypt, Jordan and Israel, with an optional stop in the West Bank
  • Application Deadline:  March 13, 2015
  • Cost: $3,325 for small or medium-sized enterprise or trade association/organization with fewer than 500 employees, $4,625 for large firms, $1,000 for each additional firm representative
  • West Bank optional meetings is in addition to the mission participation fee above, at $750 per SME and $2,300 per large firm

Country Spotlight:The Philippines

Philippines America

In addition to private investments, the government’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) program has allotted PhP5.69 Billion (Approximately U.S. USD 129 Million) for modernization of public hospitals. According to a Philippine Department of Health official, their medical equipment requirement would include capitalintensive linear accelerators for the cancer centers, dialysis machines, and radiotherapy equipment.
