Santiago, Chile's largest city,  is the first stop.   Chilean foreign direct investment (FDI) into the United States has been on the rise since 2008, with a total stock of $933 million in 2012.  With FDI from Chilean firms accounting for about 2.5 percent of all incoming FDI from South and Central America, there is ample opportunity for growth.  Chilean investors are actively pursuing opportunities to expand beyond the region and are increasingly discovering that the United States is the #1 place to invest.

    Sao Paulo

Next stop: São Paulo, Brazil!  Did you know that Brazilian-owned firms employ over 76,000 workers in the United States?  Brazil is the largest source of investment from South America into the United States, with a total stock of $14 billion.  With thriving industries in sectors such as petroleum and gas, mining, agriculture, motor vehicle manufacturing, aerospace, banking and more, Brazil has a variety of investors looking to connect with U.S. EDOs.

Among the fastest growing sources of investment, Bogotá, Colombia is the final stop.  Since 2008, the total value of Colombian FDI into the United States has increased by 80 percent, with Colombian companies investing $1.8 billion in the United States in 2012.  Now is the perfect time to connect with investors from this market as small, medium, and large companies are all eager to learn about investment opportunities.

Want to learn more about this opportunity?  Join our South America Road Show Webinar on June 9 (2:00 pm Eastern) to hear more about the opportunities you could experience in these markets.
