What is the Healthy Homes Community?

The mission of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is to create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all Americans. HUD’s Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes (OLHCHH) contributes to this mission by leading the nation to safer, healthier homes.

Through the Healthy Homes Community, OLHCHH partners with other federal agencies, non-profit organizations, and other stakeholders to provide homeowners and tenants with information on making homes safe and healthy. The Healthy Homes Community is a family of environmental health, home safety, and community development professionals.

The circular blue and green “Healthy Homes Community” badge below ties together products that are designed to engage stakeholders and communities in healthy homes issues. Be on the lookout for more marketing and outreach materials featuring our “Healthy Homes Community” badge!
