As a Fire Protection Engineer, you are responsible for all aspects of fire prevention and fire protection in GSA-owned and leased buildings, including those housing offices, electronic data processing operations, records center operations, motor vehicle repair and storage, warehousing activities, laboratories and hazardous materials storage. The buildings include both low-rise and high-rise, and have varied, extensive and sophisticated systems for the detection, containment, and suppression of fire and the emergency control of smoke from fire.
