Want to help feed kids when school gets out? 

The USDA is hosting a "Help Serve #SummerMeals This Year" Twitter Town Hall this Friday, April 12, 2013 at 3:00 - 3:45 pm EST to inform and inspire organizations across the country to become a summer meals site when school lets out this year. The Twitter Town Hall will feature USDA Undersecretary Kevin Concannon as well as partner organizations including the Food Research and Action Center, D.C. Hunger Solutions, Food Bank of the Rockies, and New York City Coalition Against Hunger.  Summer meals sites can be almost anywhere including parks, recreation centers, schools, libraries, places of worship, hospitals, and even mobile food trucks.  Join us and tweet in your questions and comments throughout the event. 

Instructions on How to Participate:

1. This entire Town Hall will take place on Twitter.

2.  Use the hashtag: #summermeals to find and follow the conversation. Please use the #summermeals hashtag in all of your tweets.  You can tweet questions, comments, and haikus!

3. You can follow the conversation by searching for #summermeals in your Twitter search or by using a program such as TweetDeck to monitor the #summermeals feed during the Town Hall.
