Proposed Federal Bankruptcy Rule and Form Amendments Published for Public Comment - DDL 2/17/15

The Judicial Conference Advisory Committees on Appellate, Bankruptcy, Civil, and Criminal Rules have proposed amendments to their respective rules and forms, and requested that the proposals be circulated to the bench, bar, and public for comment. The deadline to submit comments is Tuesday, February 17, 2015. The proposed amendments are available on the Judiciary's website at: http://www.uscourts.gov/RulesAndPolicies/rules/proposed-amendments.aspx
The proposed amendments would become effective on December 1, 2016, if they are approved, with or without revision, by the relevant committees and authorities. The revisions to the Official Bankruptcy Forms would become effective on December 1, 2015, if they are approved by the rules committees and the Judicial Conference.
