Who is Your Acquisition Career Manager? 

Did you know that each agency has an Acquisition Career Manager (ACM) that is responsible for managing the development of the acquisition workforce, identifying staffing needs, training requirements, and other workforce development strategies? FAI keeps a complete list of all agency Acquisition Career Managers. This is especially important while  while FAITAS is unavailable, as you will need to contact this person if your FAC certification is expiring or if you are ready to apply for FAC certification.

The George Washington University Law School and Professional Services Council issued a research paper addressing emerging issues and reforms in federal procurement from 2017 as well as predictions for 2018.

Last Call for Nominations!  

The Chief Acquisition Officers Council (CAOC) is seeking nominations for the 2018 Acquisition, Program Management, and Small Business Excellence Awards for Federal employees engaged in team or individual activities that led to excellent results in FY 2017. The award categories are: 1) Acquisition Excellence Award; 2) Small Business Excellence Award; and 3) Program Management Excellence Award.  The nomination period ends March 20, 2018.
