Dear Colleague:
I am pleased to announce that the application window applications for the U.S. Department of Education’s 2016-2017 Principal Ambassador Fellowship (PAF) program is now open! We invite principals to submit applications by December 14, 2015 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time.
For those who have participated in previous application rounds, the only major change this year is that we will not be accepting applications through USAJobs. Rather we are asking applicants to submit the required application components in an email to PrincipalFellowship@ed.gov. Please note that all three application components must be attached to one email in order to be considered eligible for review.
Otherwise the application is identical to this past year’s in both content and required components, which are: 1) A set of short essays addressing the key selection criteria, 2) a current resume, and 3) a letter of recommendation from an employer. Information on each of these elements and the submission process are available on the Principal Ambassador Fellowship webpages. We encourage applicants to review the information on the site thoroughly.
Finally, we want you to know that the Teaching Ambassador Fellowship application is also available. We hope that you will consider sharing this information with your teaching staff and other terrific educators that you know. Like, the PAF program, all of the information can be found on the Teaching Ambassador Fellowship website.
Thank you for your interest in the PAF program and if you have further questions after reviewing our website, please email us at PrincipalFellowship@ed.gov.
Sincerely,
Gillian Cohen-Boyer, Director, Principal Ambassador Fellowship Program
