Job Summary:

This position is located in the Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) in Silver Spring, MD. The person serves as the primary operational and technical advisor to and assists the Regional Director in planning and coordinating compliance and enforcement activities within the office's assigned geographical area. In so doing, the person: (1) assists and the Regional Director in the formulation, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of Regional Office activities; (2)provides assistance to the Regional Office and staff as the Office's senior technical resource expert; and (3) serves as principal Regional Office liaison with representatives of other Federal and State agencies and industry groups. This position is at the full performance level. This position is outside the bargaining unit. Relocation costs will not be paid. This is a temporary appointment NTE 1 year.
