From a Coast Guard cutter to a Navy submarine, from an American Job Center to the Oahu jungle, U.S. Secretary of Labor Tom Perez — accompanied by Veterans Affairs Secretary Bob MacDonald — spoke to veterans and transitioning service members about what the Labor Department can do to help veterans succeed as they transition to the civilian workforce. Acting Assistant Secretary for Veterans' Employment and Training Teresa Gerton chronicled the trip.
