This incremental funding award will provide for the continuation of reemployment services to workers affected by the closure of TRW Integrated Chassis Systems, LLC, located in Saginaw. On June 17, 2014, the NEG was approved for up to $1,321,161, with $865,950 released initially, to serve about 200 of the 645 workers affected by the closure of TRW. The manufacturing plant, which produced vehicle components and assemblies, shuttered in February 2014, leading to the eventual elimination of all jobs at the plant.

This NEG's value is up to $3,058,322 — with $518,643 for initial release — to provide reemployment and training services to approximately 650 of 1,312 workers affected by the layoffs at John Deere facilities in Ankeny and Waterloo, Iowa. Of the 650 workers targeted for services, 461 individuals from the Waterloo facility have been certified as eligible for Trade Adjustment Assistance. This dual enrollment project will provide the TAA-certified workers with access to "wrap around" and supportive services that are not available through the TAA program.

This grant will create about 200 temporary jobs for eligible dislocated workers to assist with clean up and recovery efforts as a result of the severe storms and flooding in West Virginia. This NEG has been approved for up to $2,000,000, with $670,000 to be released initially. These funds will be used to provide for temporary employment on projects to assist with clean up, demolition, repair, renovation and reconstruction of destroyed public structures, facilities and lands within the affected communities, as well as for the delivery of humanitarian aid and safety assistance, as needed.

Approved for up to $2,772,641 - with $592,253 released initially - this grant will create about 220 temporary jobs for eligible dislocated workers to assist with clean up and recovery efforts after Typhoon Dolphin. The event left public parks and roadways strewn with debris. Roads, bridges, public facilities and Guam's power and water systems sustained damage, and need repair. The funds will be used to provide for temporary employment on projects to assist with clean up, demolition, repair, renovation and reconstruction of destroyed public structures, facilities and lands within the affected communities, as well as for the delivery of humanitarian aid and safety assistance, as needed.
