U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary Ash Carter walks with U.S. Army Lt. Col. Roy W. Speaks at the retrograde facility on Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, Nov. 29, 2013. Carter visited with troops who are moving military equipment out of Afghanistan during the drawdown. Speaks commands the Army Field Support Battalion Kandahar, 401st Army Field Support Brigade.
