A U.S. soldier uses binoculars to scan the terrain during reconnaissance training at the 7th Army Joint Multinational Training Command's Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Oct. 08, 2013, to prepare for upcoming exercise "Steadfast Jazz" in Poland. The soldier is assigned to the 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
