Sailors assigned to the attack submarine USS Minnesota man the rails after they hear the order to "bring the ship to life" during the commissioning ceremony for the submarine in Norfolk, Va., Sept. 7, 2013. The ship's name honors the residents of the state and their continued support to the nation's military.
