Readout of Secretary Hagel's Meeting with Japan Defense Minister Onodera Pentagon Press Secretary George Little provided the following readout: "Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel met with Japan Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera today on the sidelines of the ASEAN Defense Ministers Meeting Plus. They exchanged views on the regional security environment, including North Korea's continued nuclear and ballistic missile developments. They also discussed the goal of deepening cyber cooperation. Secretary Hagel said he looked forward to continued bilateral discussion on strengthening the Alliance during his upcoming visit to Tokyo this October."
