Navy Lt. Cmdr. Charles Harris embraces his daughter during a homecoming celebration at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego, Aug. 7, 2013. Harris is the Gold crew operations officer for the littoral combat ship USS Freedom. The ship's Blue crew relieved its Gold crew midway through the ship's maiden deployment to the Asia-Pacific region.
