Flag Officer Assignments

           Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert announced today the following assignments:

           Rear Adm. (lower half) Vincent L. Griffith, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral, will be assigned as commander, Naval Supply Systems Command Global Logistics Support, San Diego, Calif. Griffith previously served as deputy chief of staff for fleet ordnance and supply/fleet supply officer, N41, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Va.

           Capt. Stephen M. Pachuta, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as director, Medical Resources, Plans, and Policy Division, N0931, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations/Chief of the Dental Corps, Washington, D.C. Pachuta is currently serving as executive assistant to the surgeon general of the Navy, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Washington, D.C.

           Capt. John P. Polowczyk, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy chief of staff for fleet ordnance and supply/fleet supply officer, N41, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Va. Polowczyk previously served as comptroller, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Va.

           Capt. Paul J. Verrastro, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as director, Logistics Programs and Operations Division, N41, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C. Verrastro previously served as commanding officer, Naval Supply Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
