General Officer Announcement Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel announced today that the President has made the following nomination: Army Col. Charles N. Pede has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Pede is currently serving as executive officer to the Judge Advocate General of the Army, Washington, D.C.
