APHIS has published an Interim Rule to amend the Asian Longhorned Beetle (ALB) regulations by removing New Jersey from the list of quarantine areas. 

 

The interim rule amends the Asian longhorned beetle (ALB) regulations (contained in 7 CFR 301.51-1 through 301.51-9) by removing the area of Middlesex and Union Counties, New Jersey from the list of quarantined areas per Federal Orders DA-2013-06 published on March 14, 2013.  The removal of these quarantine areas was determined after the completion of control and regulatory activities and based on the results of negative surveys of all regulated host plants within the quarantined areas.
