New Tool to Provide Feedback on the Uniform Guidance

Dear Colleagues,

The Council on Financial Assistance Reform (COFAR) recently posted a new tool on their webpage for non-Federal stakeholders. This new tool, provided so that you can offer the COFAR feedback,  is available until March 17.

Recall that the federal government’s overarching goal of the new Uniform Guidance is to reduce burden on grantees and to establish more effective protection against fraud, waste, and abuse.   Therefore, the COFAR is asking stakeholders to offer feedback specifically addressing that goal, as well as on the opportunities to have participated in the development of the guidance.

The COFAR  will review the responses to help evaluate the extent to which the Uniform Guidance achieves the COFAR’s goals, and to identify opportunities to improve.

This tool (and other information about the Uniform Guidance) is available on the COFAR site in the section titled “Measuring the Impact of the Uniform Guidance."

If you would like to suggest a topic to be addressed in a future grants and financial management bulletin, please also send your suggestions to Brad Lewis, at blewis@cns.gov.
