What You Need to Know about the SuperCircular Update

Dear Subscribers,

This bulletin offers guidance related to the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards published by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in December 2013.

Federal Register - Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards; Final Rule

What training on the Uniform Guidance is available?

The Uniform Guidance implements government-wide policies related to grants management, requirements for pass-through entities, indirect cost rates, cost principles, and audit procedures. Recipients of federal financial assistance are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the government-wide laws and regulations that govern the award.

We also encourage grantees to get comprehensive training on the Uniform Guidance. Such training is offered by many training providers.  For instance, the Council on Federal Assistance Reform recently conducted a webcast on the Uniform Guidance; a recording of that session is available here.

Where can I find the most up-to-date information on implementation of the Uniform Guidance?

OMB has released updated FAQs available at:  2014-08-29 Frequently Asked Questions
