2015 Product
Calendar — The Census Bureau has posted anticipated release dates for
each regular and recurring statistical product expected to be released in 2015.
The products are listed in the Census Bureau’s online product calendar, which will be updated as needed
throughout the year.
Demographic
America’s
Families and Living Arrangements —The 2014 families and living arrangements table package provides
statistics on families, children, unmarried and married couples, and nonfamily
households. These statistics come from the Current Population Survey’s Annual
Social and Economic Supplement. The Current Population Survey has been conducted
for more than 60 years. (Scheduled for release Jan. 28.)
Projections of the Size and Composition of
the U.S. Population: 2014 to 2060 —This report provides analysis of the projections of
the U.S. resident population released in December 2014 as a set of detailed
tables. The projections were provided by age, sex, race, Hispanic origin
and nativity annually over this time period. These are the second series of
projections to be published based on the 2010 Census (updating projections
released in 2012). (Tentatively scheduled for release in February.)
Young Adult
Migration: 2007-2009 and 2010-2012 —This report looks at the
demographic and socio-economic status of young adult migrants, ages 18 to 34,
during the recession and postrecession periods. The report uses 2007-2009 and
2010-2012 American Community Survey statistics. (Tentatively scheduled for release
in February.)

2012 Economic Census
Industry Series: Construction — These are more in a series of
national-level data files on the construction sector of the U.S. economy. Drywall
and insulation contractors; highway, street and bridge construction; and
masonry contractors are some of the industries included in this release. The
files provide statistics on the number of establishments, number of employees and
annual payroll for these industries. (Tentatively scheduled for release Jan.
27.)
2012 Economic Census
Industry Series: Mining, Quarrying and Oil and Gas Extraction — These are more in a series of national-level data files on
the mining, quarrying and oil and gas extractionsector of the U.S. economy. It will include new statistics on
several industries, including anthracite,
bituminous coal and lignite surface mining and crude petroleum and natural gas
extraction. The files provide number of establishments, employees and
annual payroll. (Tentatively scheduled for release Jan. 27.)
2012 Economic Census
Industry Series: Wholesale Trade — These are more in a series of
national-level data files on wholesale trade sector of the U.S. economy, and
will include new data on lumber and
other construction materials. The files provide statistics on the number
of establishments, sales, annual payroll and other data items for this
industry. (Tentatively scheduled for release Jan. 30.)
2012 Economic Census Geographic AreaSeries:
Real Estate and Rental and Leasing — This is a series
of national-, state-, county-, place-, and metro area-level data files on the real estate and rental and leasing sector. These include statistics for real
estate, rental and leasing services and lessors of nonfinancial intangible
assets (except copyrighted works). The files provide data on the number of establishments,
receipts or revenue, payroll, number of employees and other data items by
industry. These are for Colorado
and Hawaii. (Tentatively scheduled for release Jan. 30.)
The 2012 Statistics of U.S. Businesses Employment
and Payroll Summary Report — A
new report presenting industry and geography highlights from the statistics of
U.S. Businesses program. These data allow comparisons between business
establishments that do similar work but are part of different-sized
enterprises. (Tentatively scheduled for release late January.)
2012 Economic Census Geographic AreaSeries:
Manufacturing — The first of the 2012 Geographic
Area Series, which is unique
in that it provides economic census statistics for local areas. This release
consists of a series of national-, state-, county-, place-, and metro
area-level data files on the manufacturing sector. These include statistics for
industries such as food, apparel, wood product, paper, primary metal and machinery
manufacturing and others. The files provide statistics on the number of
establishments, receipts or revenue, payroll, number of employees and other
data items by industry. Statistics are provided for all states and the District of Columbia. (Tentatively
scheduled for release in late January.)
2012 Economic Census
Industry Series: Construction —These
are more in a series of national-level data files on the construction sector of
the U.S. economy. Commercial and
institutional building construction; new housing operative builders; and residential remodelers are
some of the industries included in this release. The files provide statistics on
the number of establishments, number of employees and annual payroll for these
industries. (Tentatively scheduled
for release Feb. 3.)
2014
Annual Survey of Public Pensions - Survey of Public Pensions:
State-Administered Defined Benefit Data — The data provides a comprehensive look at the financial activity of the
nation's state-administered defined benefit pension systems, including cash and
investment holdings, receipts, payments, pension obligations and membership
information. Statistics are shown at the national level and for individual
states. (Scheduled for release February 3.)
2013 Annual Capital
Expenditures Survey — These data, based on the 2012 North American Industry
Classification System, estimate business spending in 2013 for new and used
structures and equipment at the sector level, as well as for three-digit and
selected four-digit industries. The statistics provide a relevant, timely and
accurate measure of current business conditions. These statistics are an
important input for federal agencies constructing composite national economic
measures, such as the Bureau of Economic Analysis’ estimates of private-fixed
investments, a major component of gross domestic product; the Bureau of Labor
Statistics’ estimates of capital stocks for productivity analysis; and the
Federal Reserve Board’s Flow of Funds accounts. (Tentatively scheduled for
release Feb. 5.)

Industry Series: Information — These are more in a series of national-level
data files on the information sector of the U.S. economy and will include new statistics
on motion picture and video industries.
The files provide statistics on the number of establishments, values of sales and
annual payroll. (Tentatively
scheduled for release Feb. 6.)

Industry Series: Wholesale Trade — These are more in a series of
national-level data files on wholesale trade sector of the U.S. economy and
will include new data on electrical,
hardware, plumbing and heating equipment and supplies and electronic markets, agents and brokers. The files
provide data on the number of establishments, sales, annual payroll and other
data items for this industry. (Tentatively scheduled for release Feb. 13.)
2012 Economic Census Geographic AreaSeries:
Wholesale Trade — This is a
series of national-, state-, county-, place-, and metro area-level data files
on the wholesale trade sector. These include data for merchant
wholesalers of durable and nondurable goods and wholesale electronic markets,
agents and brokers. The files provide data on the number of establishments,
receipts or revenue, payroll, number of employees and other data items by
industry. These data are for the state of Colorado only. (Tentatively scheduled for release Feb. 13.)

Accommodation and Food Services — This is a series of national-, state-, county-, place-, and metro
area-level data files on the accommodation
and food servicessector.These include data for traveler
accommodation, rooming and boarding houses, full-service restaurants, drinking
places. The files provide data on the number of establishments, receipts or
revenue, payroll, number of employees and other data items by industry. These
data are for the state of Colorado
only. (Tentatively scheduled for release Feb. 13.)
2013 Annual Survey of
State Government Finances — State
Government Finances provides a comprehensive summary of annual survey findings
for state governments. The tables and data files present revenue, by source of
revenue;expenditure, by object and
function of expenditure; indebtedness, by long-term or short-term debt; and
asset, by purpose and type of asset. (Scheduled for release in February.)
2012 Economic Census Geographic
Area Series — Beginning in January and
continuing on a flow basis through September 2015, this series provides
detailed industry statistics by geographic area for establishments of firms
with paid employees. Statistics are shown on the 2012 North American Industry
Classification System (NAICS) basis. These supersede the statistics shown in
the Industry Series and may be superseded by statistics shown in later

2012 Economic Census Industry
Series — Continuing on a flow basis through February 2015,
this series contains national-level statistics from the twice-a-decade economic
census for specific industries on the number of employees and establishments,
payroll and total revenues. It also includes detailed statistics on the product
lines sold or services provided by businesses. For a listing of industries for

Facts for Features
Valentine’s Day: Feb. 14 — To celebrate this holiday, the Census
Bureau highlights a range of information including statistics on chocolates,
flowers, jewelry and marriage. (Scheduled for release in January.)
Women’s History Month — In commemoration of this annual observance highlighting and celebrating
the varied and historic accomplishments of women, this edition provides
statistical information on topics such as earnings, education, business
ownership, voting, occupations, military service and marriage. (Scheduled for
release in January.)
Irish-American Heritage Month (March) and St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) —
You may not find a pot
of gold at the end of this edition of Facts for Features, but you will find it
useful and informative nonetheless. It is filled with statistical information
from the Census Bureau’s demographic and economic subject areas on the nation’s
Irish-American population and other facets of this celebration of all things Irish.

Release of 2014
U.S. and State Population Estimates on American FactFinder and Monthly
Population Estimates to Jan. 1, 2015 —Jan. 22 — July 1, 2014, population estimates were released for the
nation, states and Puerto Rico on American FactFinder. The annual
estimates include components of change (births, deaths and net migration) in
the previous year and since the April 1, 2010, census. The estimates were
originally released on Dec. 23, 2014, on the Population and Housing Unit
Estimates website (http://www.census.gov/popest). In
addition, new monthly estimates were released for the nation for the period April
1, 2010, to Jan. 1, 2015. These monthly estimates are for the resident
population, resident population plus armed forces overseas, civilian
population, civilian noninstitutionalized population and household population. Internet

Educational Attainment in the United States: 2014 —Jan. 20 — This
table package provides Current Population Survey statistics on academic
achievement by demographic characteristics, such as age, sex and Hispanic
origin. It also includes detailed information on years of school completed,
showing how many years of education adults have completed for each level of
attainment. A variety of historical time series tables going back to 1940 are
also provided, as are graphs illustrating historical data. Internet

2014 Current
Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement Research Files —Jan. 13 — The 2014 Current
Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement included redesigned
questions for income and health insurance coverage. All of the approximately
98,000 addresses in the survey were eligible to receive the redesigned set of
health insurance coverage questions. The redesigned income questions were
implemented to a subsample of these 98,000 addresses using a probability split
panel design.
Included in these files:
·Public
use microdata files for the approximately 30,000 addressesthat received the redesigned income
questions. Approximately 68,000 addresses were eligible to receive a set
of income questions similar to those used in the 2013 Current Population Survey
Annual Social and Economic Supplement, and the remaining 30,000 addresses were
eligible to receive the redesigned income questions. The sample source for these
data files is the portion of the Current Population Survey Annual Social and
Economic Supplement sample, which received the redesigned income questions,
approximately 30,000 addresses.
·Public
use microdata file with estimates of current health insurance coverage for the
approximately 30,000 households eligible to receive the redesigned income
questions.A public use file with the
current health insurance coverage variables for the approximately 68,000
addresses eligible to receive the traditional income questions was released in
September 2014.
·2014
Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement Replicate
Weights – Full Sample and 30,000 addresses eligible to receive the redesigned
income questions.The files contain the replicate weights and
match keys required to merge the replicate weight files to the public use survey data
files. A document providing the data user with instructions on how to create
the replicate weight estimates and how to use these estimates to calculate

Businesses — Jan. 23 — This first release of
2012 Statistics of U.S. Businesses data include single-year estimates of the
number of firms, number of establishments, employment, and annual payroll. Data
are presented by geographic area, industry, and enterprise employment
