2013 County Business Patterns Now Available

The U.S. Census Bureau has released the 2013 County Business Patterns (CBP) statistics on Thursday, April 23, 2015. CBP covers more than 7 million U.S. businesses, and provides employment and payroll data at subnational levels by industry.

 

CBP data are obtained from Census Bureau reports and administrative records from other federal agencies. CBP defines employment as all full- and part-time employees who were on the payroll during the pay period that includes March 12.

 

Statistics are presented in hypertext format (HTML), and comma separated value files (.csv) for download and manipulation. The data are accessible through the U.S. Census Bureau’s American FactFinder and the CBP website.
