Measure on Use of Imaging for Headache and
Seizures in Children—New Fact Sheet Now Available

Registration is now open for an Agency for Healthcare
Research and Quality (AHRQ)-sponsored webinar that will focus on a new set of
measures of care coordination for children with medical complexity. The webinar
will feature a presentation by Rita Mangione-Smith, MD, of Seattle Children’s
Research Institute, as well as presentations from two users of the measures:
Dr. David Bergman at Stanford and Dr. Valerie Harder of the National
Improvement Partnership Network. The webinar will be held May 12, 2015, from
1:30-3 pm EDT/10:30-12 pm PDT.

The new pediatric
quality measure fact sheet, Overuse of Imaging for Headache and Seizure, Policy
for ALARA Specific to Imaging Children, is now available. The purpose of the
measure is to assess the performance of imaging studies with radiation doses
“as low as reasonably achievable” (ALARA) for children under the age of 18
years.

The Agency
for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) will hold its
research conference October
4–6, 2015 in Crystal City,
VA. The conference will bring together leaders in health care research and
policy to participate in sessions focused on addressing today's challenges in
improving quality, safety, access, and value in health care.
