Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 - Scheme Windows

New windows open for Expressions of Interest (EOI) in seven schemes.

Sustainable Management Scheme

The first EOI window for the Sustainable Management Scheme is now open to support collaborative landscape scale projects.

Food Bus

Food Business Investment Scheme

A further EOI window is now open for applicants for support in processing/marketing and/or development of agricultural products.

Sustainable Production Grant Scheme

To help Farmers' in Wales improve the economic and environmental performance of their agricultural holdings.

Rural Community Development Fund

Grants which are primarily aimed at LEADER Local Action Groups and other community-based organisations.

The grants will offer a wide range of interventions designed to prevent and mitigate the impact of poverty in rural communities improving conditions which can lead to future jobs and growth.

Timber Business Investment Scheme 

Providing funding for capital investments that add value to forests by enabling woodland management activities, timber harvesting and/or timber processing.

Glastir Woodland Creation & Glastir Woodland Restoration Schemes

Expressions of Interest (EOI) windows for Glastir Woodland Restoration and Glastir Woodland Creation will open on 30 March 2016 and close at midnight 29 April 2016.

Further details and guidance will be published on the Welsh Government website by 10 March 2016.

Call for expression of interest for experts participating in Focus Groups of the European Innovation Partnership on ‘Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability’,

2nd Meeting of the Thematic Group on Promoting the Transition to a Green Economy

The second meeting of the Thematic Group will take place on from Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th April in Rotterdam. The meeting will consist of a field visit on the 6th April to two businesses: Klompe and Fenix Food Factory, and then a meeting the following day at Rabobank, Reedijk 8, Heinenoord, The Netherlands.

Klompe has been a farming business since 1995, with a focus on sustainability and innovative farming concepts within the context of land based agriculture.
