A13 weekend closure
A section of the A13 will close this weekend as part of the A13 road widening project.
From 9pm on Friday 13 March until 5am on Monday 16 March, the road will be closed between the A128 junction (Orsett Cock roundabout) and the A1014 junction (Stanford-le-Hope) with a diversion via the A1013 Stanford Road.
Delays are expected and all non-local traffic is urged to avoid the A13 and use alternative routes such as the A130, A127 and M25.
Horndon Bridge will stay open for most of the weekend but there will be a short period on Saturday morning where it can't be used while a new structure is being lifted into position.
The road will also be closed between the A128 junction (Orsett Cock roundabout) and the A1014 junction (Stanford-le-Hope) overnight from 9pm to 5am from Monday 16 March to Friday 20 March.

The latest phase of Cadent Gas works on London Road, Grays, is now underway until the end of October 2020 as part of an ongoing five-year plan to replace gas mains.
London Road will be closed at its junction with Mill Lane every day between 6am and 7pm with access maintained during the closure for local buses only. A diversion route will be in place along West Thurrock Way and Devonshire Road.
Waste collections for anyone who lives on London Road will continue on their usual days of the week. Waste crews will start an hour earlier than usual, at 5am instead of 6am, to make sure collections are not adversely affected by the roadworks and diversions.
