To celebrate International Compost Awareness Week we gave away compost bins to 100 lucky Nottinghamshire residents. Composting is an inexpensive, natural process that transforms your kitchen and garden waste into a valuable and nutrient rich food for your garden. It's also really easy to make and use. Find out more.

The humble plastic bottle has never been so much in demand and now with
summer here and an abundance of sporting events, its use is set to soar.
We've been using plastic bottles for over 65 years from
water to soft drinks, shampoo to bleach, olive oil to garden fertiliser, in
fact, we use a staggering 15 million of them every day in the UK alone.
Please wash and squash where possible and add your plastic
bottles without their tops to your kerbside recycling bin.
