Textile recycling

Clothing bank

Did you know that in Norfolk, half of clothing and other textiles that are thrown away at the end of their lives end up in landfill sites?  We’re keen to find out more about how and why people dispose of these types of items, so we can improve facilities and information. Please take part in our confidential, online survey:

Are you aware of private fostering?

Private fostering image

When a child under the age of 16 (or 18 if the child has a disability) lives with someone who is not a close relative for 28 days or more it’s known as private fostering.

By law, anyone involved with private fostering in Norfolk should let us know about it so that we can make sure that all privately fostered children in the county are safe and supported. Find out more about private fostering.

Smart Swaps

Change4Life is calling on all Norfolk families to sign up to ‘Smart Swaps’. The major national campaign, supported locally by Norfolk County Council, aims to help cut sugar and saturated fat from everyday snacks, drinks and meals by making one easy change – like swapping sugary drinks to sugar-free, diet, no added sugar, milk or water. Find taster recipe leaflets in your nearest Children’s Centre, or at your local library, or sign up online.
