Today's Forecast

Any  remaining wintry showers will gradually clear this afternoon to leave a dry,  breezy end to the day with some sunny spells. Temperatures will fall quickly  this evening under clear spells, with a patchy hoar frost developing and some  icy patches where roads remain damp. From midnight some outbreaks of light  sleet and snow develop and continue on and off at times through the rest of  the night clearing by 0600 to leave a dry morning with sunny spells. Minimum Road Surface Tempertures (RSTs) minus 1.

Outlook for the next four days (forecasts run from midday to midday)
Sunday Mostly  cloudy, but dry and breezy during the afternoon. Cloud generally clearing and  winds easing somewhat overnight, with a widespread frost developing, perhaps  severe in places. Minimum RSTs minus 4.
Monday

Dry,  breezy and partly cloudy by day. Clear skies will allow and early frost to  develop during the evening, however cloud is expected to build and the winds  ease, with patchy rain, sleet and snow moving south overnight, with a risk of  ice forming as this falls onto frozen surfaces. Minimum RSTs minus 2.

Tuesday

and

Wednesday

Areas  of rain, sleet and snow clearing the area through Tuesday, with wintry  showers following on the fresh northeasterly breeze. Remaining cold with  clear spells and occasional showers leading to an overnight risk of frost and  ice for most places and the potential for snow accumulations. Similar on  Wednesday, with RSTs perhaps struggling to get above freezing during the day, particularly over snow cover. Minimum RSTs minus 2.
