Today's Forecast

The afternoon will start quite cloudy and windy with some showers. However these showers will soon ease off with some brighter spells developing by mid afternoon, though the odd isolated shower cannot be ruled out. The evening will start mainly dry with lighter winds and some clear spells, however further showers are possible in the early evening between around1900-2200 hours, which could be moderate and cause washoff. After these showers have eased it will be dry through the rest of the night and the sky will clear, which will allow RSTs to fall close to or just below freezing towards the end of the night. This brings a risk of ice where surfaces remain wet after earlier showers. Thursday morning will be cold, dry and sunny. Minimum RST minus 0.5.

Dry and sunny to start, but cloud thickening from the west during Thursday afternoon. Cloud and patchy outbreaks of rain spreading eastwards during the evening accompanied by strong winds and perhaps gales in exposed locations. Rain easing by midnight leaving mostly dry, cloud and mild conditions for the remainder of the night. RSTs staying well above freezing. Similar on Friday morning.

Friday

Cloudy, mild and very windy on Friday afternoon with a continued risk of gales in exposure and occasional periods of rain. The rain will turn heavier and more widespread for a time overnight before clearing southeastwards during the early hours of Saturday. Colder and clearer conditions will follow with RSTs likely to fall close to freezing by the end of the night, but it will remain windy. Dry, sunny and cold on Saturday morning with a strong breeze.

A cold and bright to start Saturday afternoon but cloud and outbreaks of rain soon spreading in from the west. These continuing into the evening then clearing around midnight with clear skies developing and light winds allowing RSTs to fall close to freezing by the end of the night. Becoming cloudy and windy again during the course of Sunday with some rain during the afternoon and evening period. Cloudy, windy and mainly dry following this with mild temperatures. Becoming clearer and cooler again on Monday morning after a further spell of rain.
