    Urban Innovative Actions

    The 1st Call for Proposals of the Urban Innovative Actions Initiative is open until 31st March 2016.

    The main objective of the 1st Call for Proposals is to select projects testing bold and unproven ideas on the following topics:

    Are you applying for Erasmus+ schools funding in 2016?

    Schools planning to apply for Erasmus+ funding in 2016 can benefit from tailored information and support to increase your chances of making a successful application. This includes live Q&A webinars:

    Key Action 1 Mobility

    The deadline for applications is 2 February, so there is still time to benefit from the final webinar on Thursday 21 January when National Agency staff will be online answering your questions. To register, click the link below:

    To complement the Q&A, there are pre-recorded webinars that you can view at any time. These give an overview on school mobility and advice on completing the application form.
     
    Key Action 2 Strategic Partnerships

    For strategic partnership projects, the deadline is 31 March 2016. There are two types of project: school-only, and between schools and organisations active in school education. More information is on our apply for funding webpage

    Booking is now open for Key Action 2 Q&A webinars running 9 February – 16 March: register for your preferred date via the list on our webinars page.
     
    Application guidance and pre-recorded webinars will be online by the end of January.


    Creative Europe - MEDIA - Development of video games

    Funding is available for European production companies with proven experience and interested in developing a video game concept or project presenting:

    • Originality, innovative and creative value, cultural diversity and an enhanced portrayal of Europe's cultural identity and heritage, compared to existing mainstream works
    • Commercial ambition and extensive cross-border potential to reach European and international markets
    • Concept (to the point that the concept is realised) and project (from concept to playable prototype) development of commercial video games.

    Europe for Citizens

    Priorities for the 2 strands of the Europe for Citizens programme have now been announced and are outlined below.  There are 4 priority areas in each strand, and applicants need to select one of these.

    Strand 1: European Remembrance

    • Commemorations of major historical turning points in recent European history
    • Civil society and civic participation under totalitarian regimes
    • Ostracism and loss of citizenship under totalitarian regimes: drawing the lessons for today
    • Democratic transition and accession to the European Union

    Strand 2: Democratic engagement and civic participation

    • Understanding and Debating Euroscepticism
    • Solidarity in times of crisis
    • Combatting stigmatisation of "immigrants" and building counter narratives to foster intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding
    • Debate on the future of Europe

    ERA-NET Cofund Smart Urban Futures

    The call is still open for cities and civil society in Europe to address urgent and long-term challenges by co-creating ideas and projects.

    Three call topics have been identified:

    • Concepts and strategies for smart urban transformation, growth and shrinkage
    • New dynamics of public services
    • Inclusive, vibrant and accessible urban communities

    Each project proposal must be submitted by a project consortium consisting of at least three eligible applicants from at least three participating countries.

    Pre-proposal deadline is mid March with a full proposal deadline of September 2016.
