Today's Forecast

Clear and sunny for the majority of the afternoon. Late afternoon a few showers, possibly of sleet, will cross the area from the north, dying out soon after sunset. Overnight good clear spells will lead to RSTs falling below freezing with a possible frost risk and a low risk of icy patches where surface remain damp. A sunny but cold start to Saturday. 

 

Outlook for the next four days (forecasts run from midday to midday)
Saturday Mainly dry and bright during Saturday afternoon, but isolated showers could feed in from the east during the evening, these perhaps falling as sleet or snow in places. RSTs will fall below below freezing, so there is a risk of hoar frost and perhaps some icy patches. Sunday morning will then be dry and bright.

Sunday

It should stay dry through the period with temperatures falling below freezing overnight, bringing a risk of hoar frost. 

Monday

  Tuesday

It is likely to stay dry on Monday afternoon and through Monday night, with RSTs widely falling below freezing again. An area of rain, sleet and snow is currently expected to move in from the west some time around midday on Tuesday and into the afternoon. Tuesday night then looks rather cloudy with further outbreaks of rain or sleet at times. N.B. Confidence is lower than average for this period, so details are likely to change, especially with regards to timings and details of rain, sleet and snow.
