Nottingham City Council
is working on a new campaign to help encourage more people to take an active
role in their community.
Although the Council spends a great deal of time on street cleaning, social
cohesion and anti-social behaviour, we recognise we can’t be everywhere all of
the time.
We want to create an army of people, called Clean Champions, who
proactively support our work and are keen to improve
their local environment in small ways that make a big difference.
This could be by:
·
Sparing an hour or more to conduct litter picks in
your neighbourhood
·
Reporting issues in your neighbourhood such as dog
fouling, fly tipping, bins on streets or bin contamination
·
Suggesting local improvements
·
Providing ideas about how services are
delivered
·
Giving your ideas and thoughts on campaigns to
encourage behavioural change
·
Support new residents coming into your
neighbourhood by providing advice and guidance on recycling and bin collection
dates
We are seeking ideas and suggestions on how to develop this campaign so it
is relevant and effective in Nottingham’s neighbourhoods and has a positive
effect of people’s quality of life.
Get in touch with your ideas! Send your
suggestions or details to michelle.lawson@nottinghamcity.gov.uk, call 8763311 or use our social media channels Twitter
