Today's Forecast

There will be showery outbreaks of rain, interspersed with occasionally brighter or clearer spells throughout the day. Overnight RSTs will fall during clearer intervals, but further bands of cloud and showers are expected throughout and should mean RSTs hold well above freezing. The risk of showers will diminish into Tuesday morning, with more in the way of sunny intervals.

 

Outlook for the next four days (forecasts run from midday to midday)
Tuesday  Showery outbreaks of rain are expected to gradually ease during Tuesday afternoon and evening, although one or two will remain possible throughout. With patchy cloud and generally light winds developing, RSTs are likely to fall away during the early hours of Wednesday, however they are currently expected to remain above freezing. 

Wednesday

  fine and dry day is expected Wednesday, with a mixture of patchy cloud and sunny spells. Winds will also be light, allowing RSTs to fall during the evening, before winds strengthen ahead of a band of rain spreading eastwards overnight. These wet and windy conditions are likely around the early hours of Thursday, before clearing eastwards after dawn, with sunnier conditions and light winds following.

Friday

Thursday will start sunny, and whilst some cloud is likely to develop with the risk of an isolated shower or two, most places will remain dry and clear. Overnight, this will lead to RSTs falling close to freezing with a risk of ice. Another generally fine day follows on Friday, with winds also remaining light, although one or two showers will remain possible. With clearer spells again possible overnight, RSTs are likely to fall below freezing leading to a risk of frost.
