Happy New Year!

As we welcome in the New Year we look back on the successes that 2015 brought us:

  • In May the Cycle City programme was launched and our new Portfolio Holder for Jobs, Growth and Transport Councillor Nick McDonald was also announced.
  • Nottingham's first ever Cycling Champion Councillor Jane Urquhart was appointed.
  • On the 20th of July the A453 was officially opened by Transport Secretary Patrick Mcloughlin .
  • On the 25th of August the new NET Tram extensions were opened.
  • December saw the Robin Hood Card launch (see below for more information).

We're looking forward to another great year for Transport in Nottingham! Here's to 2016!!

Full Steam ahead for Station Street improvements

Station Street in Nottingham city centre is currently being transformed from what was a traffic-choked side street into a brand new public space.

The £1.375 million scheme, which is benefiting from both European funding and national Government funding which the council secured through the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership and City Deal, is seeing a range of improvements to the area.
